WASAVP works year‑round to strengthen prevention and public health across Washington — and we do it with energy, commitment, and a whole lot of heart. Our all‑volunteer board brings decades of hands‑on experience in community‑based prevention. We’ve been in this work a long time—enhancing public policy, holding off/reducing programming cuts, connecting outcomes to investments in communities and building strong relationships across our state and nation. Positive outcomes have been steadily achieved as we’ve watched the field grow and evolve in powerful ways.
What drives us is the prevention and public‑health work happening in every corner of Washington — and the bold, measurable change you create every day. Your momentum fuels ours, and together we’re pushing prevention further than ever.
Gratefulness and enthusiasm are powerful, but they don’t ‘keep the lights on’. To keep this work strong and effective, we rely on you. Once a year, we ask for your support through WASAVP memberships for your coalitions and organizations, along with personal donations that help drive prevention forward resulting in continued support for our collective success.

Now is the time to step up for prevention in Washington. Support WASAVP by purchasing a membership and making a personal donation — your commitment keeps this work alive and moving forward.
Memberships start at $150/year and are often an allowable expense in federal and state grants — check with your project manager to confirm. Your membership helps us educate policymakers, offer free webinars, and provide consultation to community prevention efforts.
Personal donations starting at $15 help us work directly with legislators on key prevention and public‑health legislation.
